Bell Fibe is boasting upload speeds from 1Mb to 7Mb / sec for Fibe subscribers, three times the speed of cable. The fastest download speed war was pretty much a joke from the beginning. Anything over 3Mb in my opinion isn't much of a selling point. I can wait the extra 30 seconds it takes to download the latest version of Firefox. But the real annoyance comes when it is time to put the kids photos online or upload to Blurb.com to make a photo book.
My only worry is the cost. If they are charging anything over CAN$40/month I would be upset. I would personally enjoy a nicely balanced ADSL connection, like 1.5up/3MBdown or 3/3 for CAN$35.00/month. If it is an unblocked service (no port80, 443, 21 ISP filtering) I would pay up to CAN$45/month. But that's as far as I'm willing to go on paper.
Thank you Bell
