iPhone OS 3.1 was released to the Apple developer community for testing.

As expected the update includes several enhancements to the iPhone OS.

iPhone OS 3.1 offers the following enhancements:

• Ability to use Voice Control on iPhone 3GS with a Bluetooth headset
• Video editing on iPhone 3GS is now non-destructive, offering the option to "save a copy"
• iPhone vibrates when moving home icons
• Fraud protection option has returned to Safari
• Noticeable improvement in iPhone 3GS battery life
• Startup and shutdown speed improvements
• Tethering using Wi-Fi instead of USB
