Taiwanese based InfoTimes reported today [translation provided by Mac Rumors] that Apple is set to release its long awaited "netbook" this coming October. According to the article commonly used manufacturing partners Foxconn, Wintek and Dynapack have all received orders for the new device.
The device which continues to be described as a netbook is said to have a 9.7-inch touchscreen display and may have a price point around $800.
Apple's touchscreen netbook has been the subject of multiple rumours over the last few months. In particular the latest report does not fit with pass rumours that Apple has ordered 10-inch touchscreens or that Quanta computer would be the assembler.
