The new beta does not support "groups" and so a lengthy conversion process was initiated to convert my old calendar to the new "generic" format. Because of the shear number of calendar entries, it would take well over an hour to convert over all my appointments.
The new interface brings some important visual changes such as the footer scroll which makes it easier to go to the precise week.
