Abinyah's questions about digital privacy - liability for publishing your location

I was thinking the other day about the insurance industry and user liability for publishing Geo location via feed and potentially contributing to a crime.

Online privacy goes beyond Facebook. It delves into the essence of information sharing. I am specifically looking at Geo location information and the implications of not only receiving that information, but broadcasting it as well. For example, can an insurance company invalidate a claim, due to contributory negligence or other because the claimant published Geo location automatically via web feed. Example, if an individual is a victim of a crime where electronic information, specifically online rss, atom, jason, etc. feeds or a blog posting, is used to facilitate a theft or to commit homicide, can a claimant or victim be considered complicit ?

Just asking...
