Before the release of a major product Apple gives a select number of the media a review unit about a week before the product launch. This year Apple appears to have selected slightly more media than in previous years.

Joshua Topolsky of Engadget:

For everyone else, however, I'd say that Apple has built a beautiful smartphone that works well, adds impressive new features and is still, overall, the best device in its class.
