iPhone 4 flaws

iPhone reception Flaw
Apple iPhone 4 users have reported some flaws in the device antennas. They seem to be loosing signal when help in the lower left corner.  Signal degradation occurs when holding the iPhone so that both black strips in the metal band are covered.  Alternately users have the option of buying a cover to shield the antenna from direct contact.

Sales
Users began reporting a problem soon after the iPhone 4 went on sale June 24th, commenting on signal strength when held.  Apple released a statement saying that "Gripping any mobile phone will result in some attenuation of its antenna performance, with certain places being worse than others depending on the placement of the antennas."  Steve Jobs directly commented by saying "All phones have sensitive areas."

Solution
Although you can purchase rubber bumpers that shield sensitive areas, Richard Warner contacted BBC News, one of the first to report this issue, commenting that the iPhone 4 was "useless in its current state" especially for left-hand users who naturally touch the phone in the sensitive area.

Videos
YouTube videos have been posted with examples of the reception issue.
