According to the Catawba County Economic Development corp. Apple plans to locate its new $1 billion data centre in Maiden, North Carolina. It has also been revealed that the data centre will be a massive 500,000 square feet.
The 500,000 square foot facility will be nearly five times the size of the data centre Apple acquired in 2006 in California.
AppleInsider suggests that the exact location is 6027 Startown Road, a plot in this area has been on the market for $35,000 per acre.
